I see you landed on the most sought-after event - the Ultimate Blanket Fort Competition World Championship!

Spaces for this event ARE limited, so make sure to get your application in early. There is no cost to enter, but you must register to participate as spaces are limited.

What are the constraints? Spill the tea!

We are fully BYOB- Bring Your Own Blanket. You can use sheets, blankets, pillows, lamps, fairy lights, stuffed animals, flags, Lincoln Logs, cardboard, or whatever else you want to construct the fort, but you must bring all of your own supplies with you. You must be able to fit two people (sitting on the floor) inside the fort, and it must be completed within the 45-minute time frame. When you arrive your space will be labeled. You will be given a space of approximately 6' by 6'. Teams will be given the allocated space, four chairs, and 45 minutes to construct their fort. You do not have to use the chairs, but if you do, they must remain within your allotted space.

See additional rules for more details.

Prizes:  First place winners will receive a gift basket of goodies to enjoy in their forts at home.  In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate in the Ultimate Blanket Fort Competition National Finals at ConVivial in Williamsburg Virginia February 28 through March 1st, 2025!

Get ready for a blanket fort showdown!

Here are the guidelines for all you fort-building aficionados!

1. Fortify your fort within the designated 6'x6' competition area, avoiding any walkways or exits.

2. You must provide your own sheets, blankets, and fort accessories from outside the event. Accessorize to your heart’s content with pillows, cushions, fairy lights, and décor – just make sure you bring it with you.

3.  You will be provided 4 chairs for your use.  They are not required to be used, if used they must be fully contained within your 6'x6' designated area.

4. It’s a free event for both individuals or teams, but each fort will be judged as one entry regardless of team size. Donations to the event's chosen charity are welcome, but they will not sway the judges decisions.

5. Safety first! Ensure your fort is stable and secure, with absolutely no risk of collapse or injury to yourself or others.

6. At the end of the competition Clean up your own mess and take all materials home with you.

7. Creativity, originality, structural integrity, theme, and overall aesthetic appeal will be judged to declare the winner.

8. Show some respect for the event facilities. Any damage caused will be your responsibility.

9. Bribes for the judges are welcome, but there are rules. Check out our website for more about bribes.

10. Last but not least, play fair and be a good sport. Anyone not complying with the rules or exhibiting inappropriate behavior will be shown the door.
